January Drive

Nature and landscapes are what originally drew me to photography more years ago than I’d like to admit. I often get a bug to go for a drive and look for something pretty.  The weather here has been so yucky lately – frigid cold and a nasty, foggy inversion.  I’ve had a bad case of cabin fever so last week I loaded the kids in the van with snacks and set out to see what we could see.  It’s funny how quickly I can find something that strikes me!  We ended up stopping the first time only 10 minutes from home.  The lake had frozen over and in the fog it was hard to tell where the snow covered lake ended and the sky began.  I couldn’t believe how peaceful and quiet it was!  Lake Lowell1Lake Lowell 2Snake River CattailsRobin
